.... completely different... back in February, during one of our (many) snowstorms, I poked my head out to try some photos of the snow, when I noticed the reflection of my cluttered desktop lamp mirrored in the glass of the storm door... I used my flash, which created bokeh out of the falling snow, so this is not a 'manipulated' photograph per se, just an image of how warm and snug we were inside as the storm blew all around us...

Wasn't it Forest Gump that said Photography is like a box of chocolates....you never know what you're going to get? Something like that! LOL. Very interesting shot, Mary, and very well done.

Hard to imagine for me Mary, because we hadn't any snow and frost here this winter. Although I don't envy your situation, like to say however that you've provided us with a very moody image. It tells its own wintry story. Well done!

Regards, Cornelius.

Good for you, Mary. You even managed a snowflake between the lamp bulbs.

really nice! we're always so quick to edit, with a little imagination & some camera settings, you can pull off some nice shots that look manipulated when actually its just good clean photography. thanks i'll remember that trick!

Wow, this turned out great...you've really captured the contrast between the cold whiteness outside to the golden glow of warmth inside...really nice, Mary.

I like it. Often a good photo like this sets a mood rather than conveys a scene.

As we say in Britain, "You look as snug as a bug in a rug." You certainly have had a tough time this winter. Let's hope Spring's not far away.
