This is a picture taken at the outlit of Goat Lake looking up into the Sawtooths. The peak you see towering int he background is Thompson Peak, the tallest in the Sawtooths sitting at an elevation of 10751 feet.
An awesome post here. The clarity, colors, closeup, composition, all of it is perfection. I'm so glad you posted this for us to enjoy. Amazing. Thanks. Anita
P.S. I forgot to include above -- "Welcome to Caedes". I can't wait to see more posts of this magnificance. Have fun out here in Caedes-land. Well, maybe not, this is your only post but I see you've been a member for a while.

This one goes into my favorites. I realize part of catching something like this is just getting to the right spot at the right time. You did it. Thank you for gracing us with this shot. May you know success and fulfillment.
No Sig, Just, I want to say "Thank You" to all of the talented photographers for giving me the most beautiful desktops and screensavers I could ever imagine. The artistry here is breathtaking.
Thank you all for your wonderful coments, I'm glad you enjoyed this picture as much as I did. It was a nice surprise when I got back from my camping trip and got to see how it turned out. In particular the lighting on the rocky background adds an illusion of depth and the appearance of archways where there are none. Great shot as it keeps me watching
Incredible, a person who understands both composition and beauty. The green of life contrasting with the primeval rock and water of life. What a picture!
Thanks for posting it here at caedes !.
