This here photograph is of Big Creek in the Frank Church Wilderness area as seen by peering out of the cave at the mouth of Cave Creek (great names eh?). This was taken on my recent trip though the area. The haze in the air is smoke from the many fires that are burning in the widlerness area. It was amazing to be there, but hard to capture a nice 'crisp' photograph in the smoke. I enjoy how the framing of the outline of the cave worked in this picture, I think better timing would make a nice crisp image that just pops out, but this pic gives a nice feeling of what the area is like durning late August.

What a wonderful out of this cave. Looks a bit hazy that day or is it just normal August heat? :) In any case, it's very well done and I'm glad you shared it.

Very nice idea to take this photo from the cave. You are brave to be in there, did you meet up with any bears?? I was in Idaho and Montana when the bigtime forest fires were burning. IT was so hot, it felt like the inside of a blow dryer. I like yur photos, I am hoping to go visit Boise again in the Fall..Verena
