Here are the remains (somewhat kept up) buildings from a mine on the confluance of Duck creek and Camas Creek. The mine was located above these bunk houses, living area for the miners. My best buess is this mine was active 1850-1870s.

Apparently someone effected residency later on - I see what appears to be a butane storage tank in the front of one of the cabins.
This is a reminder that long ago wasn't that long ago.
