I like the murky mysterious depths sensed in this. Lightning running over the surface, electricity and water meeting, shadows and ghostly light...
It's a compelling and intriguing desktop which I _think_ I like, but I'm pretty sure I would like it better without the central rectangular frame and distortion, though I realise this is at the heart of the image's meaning for you. Others will almost certainly differ, in any case.
I feel as though the rectangular area almost detracts from the wild chaotic feel of the image - too planned, too precise, too _deliberate_ looking for my personal taste. But I have an aversion to frames etc. which is certainly not shared by others.
I think you've done an excellent job, though. It is very well executed and I certainly like your choice of colours.
Well, I am "out there" lately too, so I do appreciate your experimentation. I like to think that some of my own work lately will be seen in the light most favorable, and with a sense of the touch of cabin fever >>LOL<<
Have to agree with Margali's comments re the rectangular frame - perhaps the white edge is all that needs to be softened - the colour variation is enough to create the definition of that space. Love the idea and the colours overall.
Ya know ... I kind of like the dimensionality that the rectangular section brings to the piece here. The distortion defines another plane quite well and creates some additional depth in my mind.
Stay 'out there' ... 'out there' is good good.
But, you know ... bring a sweater in case it gets cold or something 'out there.' :oP
