i was raised in hawaii, where hibiscus are a dime a dozen, every block has some, but i have never seen one quite so vibrant. what great colors...makes for a nice desktop, taking me back home to warm, sandy beaches and plate lunches :)
Beautiful capture Sheila. I love the colors of the tropical hibiscus, but I have never seen one as lovely as this. Thank you for sharing it with us. :))
Hi Sheila - this is such a beautiful shot - amazing colors against the vivid green foliage! Very very nice! Saw you were from Houston - "hello" from Cedar Hill (just outside of Dallas!) We have friends in Houston and visited your city just last year! Have a great day!!
the colours are so vibrant and warm.. especially the gradient shades of the petals and the wonderful colour combination there! great contrast with the background too and a nice lightning! this is really a gorgeous flower..and it seems to me like it's watching me with his little orange eyes, heheh :D
great details as well (especially on the petals) and a nice composition, i like the centering..
thank you for sharing this beauty with us! have a nice day :)
Thanks Tina! I have yet to see another hibiscus with this color combination. The bush this came from only produces orange/yellow flowers now, not the yellow/orange/pink combo flower above. If another sprouts this summer, I will be amazed!
What a totally amazing flower..and those colours! OH MY GOODNESS..how gorgeous! And that yoiu were able to capture its beauty...you are so fortunate to have seen it and kept it for all eternity here..thank you for posting this.
