I don't know the name of the peak, but this photo was taken near Roger's Pass, in British Columbia. I believe we were in Glacier Nat'l Park, Canada. The terrain in the area is imposing, and much of it reminded me of terrain seen in Lord of the Rings, like this mountain.

This is what I call an impressive rock, lol. Great shot. The mountain seems harsh and unfriendly. And I don't know if you noticed that but the lower mountain, the peak and the white cloud create a diagonal line.

Age is a state of mind :) And now that I'm 60, my mind is really in a state :)
I love it! Looks really remote and forbidding. I've got to figure out where this is and go up there. I took a trip across the center of British Columbia last year and loved it but I think this is probably south of Prince George and north of Vancouver, right?

Actually, it's east of Vancouver, between Revelstoke and Golden, in Glacier Nat'l Park. From http://www.britishcolumbia.com/regions/towns/?townID=3496:
