This is my second shot of a baby frog in which I was lucky to get close enough. This one was about 15 mm. With my macro I could not get it entirely sharp in such short time, but I can live with the result.

Still very good non-the-less Paul! Some inviting healthy moss gives this photo a nice little kick.Well done!

actually dont knock yourself
you got the most vital part sharp ... the eyes
where theres a nice plane thats in focus
so many ppl get that wrong
the depth is shallow and could do with being deeper on the froggie
never the less its a v nice shot! :)

I see that someone will probably specialize in frogs ;)
I like your frog, it has an exceptionally friendly expression on its "face".
Perhaps the photo could be a little bit brighter. Great job

I think the thin dof is actually very effective. it helps focus on the eyes, as someone has already said. i love the deep green tone of the moss.

The depth of field is just right in my opinion. The vibrant green add alot to this shot to. Nice work.

I definitely agree with the last two comments about dof. It's just right IMHO. I do believe this shot would have worked out just great with more of the frog in the focussing plane though, so I won't debate that with you. ^_^ The main thing is like jzaw said above, you have the eyes in perfect focus. Without that it would not have been up to your great standards.

A lovely image - the green really helps to set this little fellow out from the crowd. Beautifully composed, great to look at, well done.

Again nothing is left for me to say .... Only because I went for a longer walk with dog I missed my chance of giving my opinion as one of the first !!! The clarity and sharpness is absolutely OK as long as the face is beautifully sharp ! 10/10 of course ...

The shot may not have been exactly what you hoped for, but what you got is one really good photo. He appears to be leaping toward you and you captured his face at the precisely right instance.

It's sharp enough. Like someone else said you got the eyes and that's where we connect. The foreground foilage is awesome. That's almost better than the frog. By the way, love the bright colors showing thru on the frog. Not a bad capture. Not bad at all.
