I must say this piece has got a wonderful warmth in the lighting and following superbly rich color hues. Just my kind of stuff. :) You know I'm a nit-picker... Your shadow is clearly visible, but I guess I'm not really bothered by it in any way. ^_^ I guess one could have tried to edit it out in PS or something, but I'm not sure it would have been worth the effort. The image is great as it is, really (I just mention it because I have the habit of telling what comes to my mind in such matters). I don't feel such small adjustments would make any huge difference, but that goes just to show what a great shot it is to begin with. :)
I agree, there is a marvellous warmth and lighting to this and not often do we see the camel in repose and in its' natural environment...great shot, Paul...tks for sharing.:Pat.
While the color is rich, it hardly looks computer enhanced to me. Perhaps you've fooled me, but It's a golden glow I would expect in the early morning hours. I am thoroughly enjoying this composition. The shadows are natural and non-interferring to me. I like the just waking up lazy look of this. I also like that you've captured a partial burial in the sand. Impressive and I appreciate the view into the sleepy face from the left. I read better that way too. ;)
I'm checking your gallery often to see your progress through the desert. This one and blue man are both outstanding shots and ultra professional. You've been getting closer and more personal as you go.
What a grasnd opportunity to have been able to do this. Beautiful camel. I didn't know thye were this light of a color. I wouldn't think he would care for that rope under his tail. Good clarity under difficult lighting conditions-all that red sand.
