One of the most beautiful Ksar ( clay kasbah ) of Morocco. The morning before I left a storm came up, and gave me the chance to make this shot with a totaly different atmosphere then normaly. On normal days the sun is burning and the sky hazy. Scenes from the movies Lawrence of Arabia and Diamont of the Nile were shot over here.

Hi Paul, you have captured some wonderful memories of mine, and have done it well! This is indeed what it looks like and I will remember it well after a stormy crossing of the Straits of Gibraltar! Yes movies have been filmed there that we all will remember well, for a long time! You captured it well Paul! Sincerely, Marilyn

Great image, really dramatic! One can almost hear the thunder... I like the way you captures the last sunrays on the hill in the back, with the castle already in the shadows.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

This is a wonderful piece Paul! I love the dramatic skies and the way the buildings are merging with the nature around. The lighting, color and composition of this photo, in short everything, is just right. It would probably have been much harder to make such a good shot in blazing sunlight.

Extraordinary contrast and palette. Superior composition. Yes, "Lawrence of Arabia" reborn!

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...
