Not only was this taken on a film camera (a shock to everyone who knows me), but I developed the film myself. Methink's I left it in the fix a bit too long (too much contrast), but what can you do?
Ahhhhhh...the smell of developing chemicals Luke. I have my degree in Radiology and there is the distinct odor that goes with the developer and the fixer......I know the above would make good x-ray with the contrast, but I have never developed photographic film by hand so I cannot help you here. Cool to see you using a film camera though :))
I'm no pro at this high-falutin techno jargon you kids bandy about these days .. but .. the high-key brightness of the upper right corner is stealing the show
if it weren't for the cost of film and developing .. I would go back to my 35mm SLR in a heartbeat
very interesting shot, i just love it! i am a huge fan of black and white, and I just love developing my own pictures, but like Keifer said, its just so expensive, plus its hard for me to get access to a dark room..a bit of a problem. I love the focus of this shot, and where you placed the chain with in the frame. I think that the contrast is just perfect, but I really enjoy high contrast shots. very good capture! ~abby
