She was playing piano when I took this portrait. I made a few minor touch-ups in the chin area, but the lighting is natural.

I love existing light photography. It isn't as easy to do as it seems and takes a really good eye to pull it off. This is very well done! High marks and favs from me.

Wow.....wish I could find something to pick on you for...hahaha, but it's just flawless!
I can just about feel her soft breath on me....she seems that close up and real...and in such a depth of concentration, as if immersed in her music and totally unaware of our stares.....
excellent.....just excellent, ya mean little brat!

PS: She is also very, very beautiful.....

Every morning I will rest my arms a while upon the windowsill of heaven, gaze upon God, and with that vision in my heart turn strong to meet my day.

I was at my friend Rachel's house doing a portrait of her for my photography class and decided to bring the digital along to see if I could get any color shots while I had the lighting and tripod all set.

The red lights were four foot fluorescent blubs slipped inside red plastic tubes. A Suncoast Video just went out of business, so I bought a bunch of their lights for cheap. Unfortunately, the mounting mechanisms were clipped permanently to the ceiling, but a trip to the hardware store cleared that up. I brought them along because red increases contrast and, frankly, red lights are cool. :-) I have the bulbs for a second bank of red lights, but my funds are rather drained from my camera purchase.

There are more shots of Rachel and her house that i may post, but film was the reason I was there, so all the good shots were sucked up in that medium. She seemed pretty open to doing more shoots in the future. Any recommendations or requests?

My only request is that you keep on being creative and producing great shots like this one. I was going through the voting booth and saw this, and knew I had to give you kudos. Sweet shot...

Excellent shot .. great creative idea and lighting .. but then I would expect nothing else from somebody that uses a blacklight in this day and age

I dub thee .. funky light dude
