Taken two days ago, the first time I have ever attempted to merge fireworks and photography. I have tons from the series, some relatively empty, some excessively busy, some with awful exposure, some that look a whole lot like digital renders (like this one), and even a few worthy of postcards. If the results are warm, I will post more. Canon EOS 30D, 1/1.7 shutter, ISO 100; Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, f/25.

WOW! I think I have fireworks envy. Every time I try to do something like that it ends up blurry. Well done.

Nicely done Luke ! Anytime I've done this, all I get is a big blur, not suitable for family viewing let alone here. Way to go !

wow this is great! It is so sharp and clear, my firework pictures from this year all turned out pretty blurry and "smeared." I love how simple it is, there arent any bright colors and there are only a few actually going off, which makes it a bit easier to look at for a lon time. you had great timing for this! fantastic capture! please do post more! ~abby

Very difficult capture to get this kind of sharpness.
