You really captured that golden rod very nicely Chris - I have not been able to achieve the desired results when I shoot golden rod - from your narrative, the metering technique sounds interesting - Great Capture!!!!!!!

I can say without a doubt you pulled off a great shot of these Goldies. They are hard to get sharp focused over a number of them without image stacking. These are nice Chris. What I heard is that F7 or F8 is a good sharp setting for most things. Most lens are sharpest at that F-stop.
