stumbled upon...but had to walk in the water to get the shot :) it appears crooked but its just where the water flows that makes it look off, as you can see the trees are straight up and down. this is at like a fork in the water flow.
Nice find, Chris, with lots of great lines and colors, but I think I would have used one of the center poles to level the whole image. I pulled a copy and, in Photoshop, found it to be 3.19 degrees to the right. It also required me to crop in a bit after turning it, which made a pano of it, enhancing the trestle's features. Just a thought, dude.

Your love for photography goes quite far, Chris. Thanks anyhow for the done effort. The result is perfect, so getting wet knees have been rewarded, ☺ .

yeah nik, i seen there was a few options to make what seem to be an optical illusion straight but then it really wouldnt be. too many lines to go off of that just are not in the first place, largely due to me i believe so i always take the vertical lines into consideration first, that being said the trees. the bridge by no means was straight with the topography of the area and the grand River that flows through here. those treslte are actually leaning or seem to be even to the nake eye, blew my mind this(total or 3) type of bridge was still in use. they led out of a huge grainery there in Lowell MI its right in town and you probably could Google Earth them on a map. back to the issues at hand: no matter what i did i got an unpleasant or less desires effect. not to say someone else couldnt make it look more pleasing to the eye. myself? i just said heck with it.
the cool part, all the tinting on the water was in the original shot, blew me away when i seen it come up on the camera's LCD i really didnt see it with me eyes. its enhanced very little. on the exposure in the negative was best color but silouetted the bridge and trees rather too much...maybe i should have just left it...then again it might be another post ...WOW was it moody with the sun in the far background. people that read this? theres a tip to be had!(in exposures)
So this is the one we talked about, what a fantastic find, and I like the lines created by your composition, and the seem to lean too look. I love the look of the water, wtg! tigs=^..^=
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
