I'm thinking the Categories should be updated for an HDR choice, ohwell, bridges it it.

The little white streaks you see in the water is not my doing, other then with long exposure time. that's Cotton wood tree seeds. here in Mi at a certain time of year they are every where in the water. like little white dots...in this case? ones in motion that gave off so rather cool streaks.

Enjoy!

A beautiful glow to this - HDR at its best. I am glad you explained the streaks in the water :) The bridge is well protected from the elements for sure. I looked up the Wikipedia article about it - built in 1871 for $1500 - has lasted well!
Makes a splendid desktop.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I know what your thinking, Nik. would look better without the guard rails in the way..lol Yes you have my permission to stamp/clone( or whatever method used in PS to alter.

Actually it would be very easy using the cross braces in the middle above each section, "layer via copy" and place smaller ones over the rail and blend to fit. so you would have all the piece needed. I just leave them as is in case some one come's-a-calling for wallpaper of a particular pic. It will be the same as they know it as, or trust me, the rail would be gone!

Noooo, this one I'm not going to mess with, Chris. In the daylight, the more modern elements work well (that night shot was otherworldly), and since you're closer to the bridge here, that sign at the top is terrific... drive across at a walking pace... what a hoot. I'm with Sandi on the cotton streaks; they look uber cool and make it appear as though the water is covered by a transparent shield of some sort. The only thing I notice is that the sky on the far left of the bridge cover appears to be over-lightened. Was it that way at the scene or did you lighten the wood and interior beams with a tool that had a little too much soft spread to it? If so, I've had that same thing happen to me and I see plenty of experienced members here have the same thing happen in some of their images of battling dark and light contrasts. I avoid that problem by adjusting the hardness of the tool to somewhere between 70% and 80%, the opacity to no more than 10%, and I try to match the tool size to each area I'm lightening, one by one, until I'm satisfied. In Photoshop I can always go back in the "History" and start over. Practice, practice, practice... Carnegie Hall, y'know, but you know how picky I am, right? Otherwise, this is another outstanding capture, Chris, and a great example to others on how they can shoot the same subject at different times, from different angles, under different conditions, and end up with something very different each time. As Pat Andre used to say, "Keepers!" Another one to put in my desktop wallpapers folder, thanks, dude.

Happy Trails

I think i know what your talking about Nik. its in the waters reflection also? it was there in the shot, that was the sun coming up from that direction, or im not sure where you're talking about?
It had a little more color, thought it looked alright, then when i reduce the size and then Caedes compression as well? well, it went real light. too late to take it down now to fix...but i do know what you mean about the adjustments of the brushes. this one i sat here for about an hour or so talking to someone on the phone and brushing away at the same time...dodge tool, burn highlights, shadows, saturation, blur healing tool, stamp ect ect... then i got off the phone and thought, not too bad! and here it sits.

Color a plenty and glowing. That's a good deal Chris. The Fall colors makes a good accent. I had to chuckle a bit at the sign on the bridge.
