Yes I'm still around! sorry to disappoint a few of you.

Building Mural in Circleville south Ohio. not graffiti but not what you would expect. plays a little on the mind. its actually the side of a building, not the front! if you know a little about skies and seasons with the type of clouds you get? the artist was right on the money. that's of a pumpkin fest in the fall and this shot was taken in the morning on purpose...in late October to match the outside with the inside. I could have stamped out the lines but looks better to leave it so you can see its just a huge wallpaper. I'm sure they built the top of the building with the trim to add to the look.

There's exposures for ya. I bracket 3 different exposure but its not HDR! the side of the building was dark as the sunrise came up, as you can see to the right bottom. that's a lot of brush work in Lightroom and then the blend of two different exposures(of the three)and both where at different zoom distances. added together in Photoshop to give a proper viewing, light meets dark! no its not a manipulation because no pixels were actually added or taken way, considering how HDR works. although two where blended together as is in HDR, so i don't know how to label it. I'll gladly take manip :) the Mods can decide i suppose because im not sure whats fair with labeling an edit like this. I often take multiple exposures and then blend the 2,3,4,5 so its not nothing I haven't done before to get the right exposure view for the viewer, throughout!. just depends on your perspective of what is or isn't HDR. now that should confuse most. lol

I'm not sure why member's have this problem with the category "Manipulation". its truly a bragging right when you can pull off the impossible and make it look real! however you need to be honest, is it or isnt it. too many on here want you to believe they are some kind of master photographer when we all know who you are and your little ego issues. its fooling the general public as to what they can and can not get in a real shot. I remember not so long ago i was one of them. it use to piss me off to know i tried so hard to get a shot and couldn't figure it out...because of a little hocus pocus was played in software, that's why! just be honest as to how you came to your end results in the narrative. none of us are professionals with tricks that haven't already been done. or you wouldnt be here give wallpaper away for free, let that sink in! allow others the decency to at least further their quest in photo editing, photographer ect... we were all there at one time! your no super genius anymore then i am. Im completely honest and anyone has any question as to "how did you get your results?" i will gladly explain in full detail. we are a artist community! some have lost that meaning or never had it!...in the post they upload. im not one of them! there's a huge gray area in manipulation and what is or isn't HDR. Caedes needs a new category! plain and simple. that being said. one of "HDR". because it is a form of manipulating the lights and darks of pixels and your adding with multiple layers to get that effect...that being said? the gray area! one that can be achieve manually adding layers, layer masking, vector masking(if you know what im talking about) or allowing software to blend the layers easily for you. look at the file size after the effect or process was finished... and tell me you didn't add pixels! and stop with your sky replacements and not labeling that as a manip, very distracting to a Newbie. not to mention an insult to my intelligence, most of you do a sloppy job anyways. I pride myself in a seamless manip you don't know the difference...but i can guarantee it all came for my camera. can all of you say the same? did you follow the COC, or are you a cheat! thats what you need to ask yourself. so my narrative? as wordy as it is? reflects this on going issue. I left the explanation up and for the viewer to decide...but i was completely honest! any one of my post or uploads you think is unfairly just or placed in its category. Please bring it to my attention and it will be address properly! or explained properly!

have a good week and weekend.

I find this to be truly amazing, and creative, and it deserves to be shared so others can enjoy the unique idea behind it. I'm not creative to the point of manipulations, illustrations, and the like but I sure know what I like when I see here. . As for the COC we should all follow the rules, and I wish all of us did. tigs=^..^=

I think this is truly amazing Chris. I'm glad you shared it. I love murals. We have loads of them around my little town but nothing to compare to this. You did a marvelous job with the capture and edit. Since I can't reach in there and pat you on the back just give yourself one for me.

A very impressive mural and an excellent shot of it with all details clear. Well done Chris.

I don't know who you are aiming at but I suppose there is someone here who copies photos from somewhere.

Disappointed, Chris? :oP :oP :oP :oP [oD

I love city murals like these--in fact, I'm actually dealing with a local brewery to allow me to paint one on their Main Street wall, although mine wold be much more graphic in style--and this one is exceptionally well done, as is your selection of daytime and light coloring in order to come as close to matching the mural as is possible. You must have regularly studied it and the sky, daily, in order to come to the decision that the time was perfect, not to mntion your outstanding exposure in the face of a low-light environment. Dedication is something we've come to expect from you, dude. I'm faving this one for sure.

not aiming at anyone particular, Raj. he/she does wrong knows it. Nik, i made two passes to be honest and got lucky. the first when i spotted the thing it was raining. you and both know that dont happen and study is what this one would have taken. weather was perfect leaving back home and so was the sky. I was disappointed to see the lines knowing it was a print of some kind, hard to tell unless up close. fooled me at first. a better match on the sky next fall maybe.

A beautiful and fascinating mural that does play tricks with the eyes upon first viewing...IMO you have achieved your objective with the bracketing and lighting, resulting in a marvelous blend of the real and un-real...great work, Chris.
