Most of you will look at this and think it it a cave with some water and other standard cave parts. To the Mayan civilization, these were holy water holes called Cenotes. They would bathe in the wet Cenotes and conduct ceremonies in the dry Cenotes. The ceremony asks the gods of the upperworld, underworld and our world to bless them.
