Apop. Photofiltre. I was quite surprised to come up with this flame. I added some eyes with Photoshop CS2, but then decided to leave them out, as it looked better this way. Hmm..do you suppose this would qualify for the Fall Festivities Contest?? Hope you enjoy, and comments are most welcome. Thanks for viewing :) Lori

Much power...Don't cross the person wearing that mask.
Nice job Lori.

It would make for a stunning Halloween mask, given the right costume, so yes, I'd say it would qualify..but then again, I'm not in a position to pass judgment in that regard. I love the coppery feel and, yes, it's also a bit scary in appearance with the eyes and what I'm seeing as a beak/mouth element...that's spooky...and I hope you aren't into trick or treating...I don't have enough candy in the house to keep you away from tricking my house...lol.... :) :) :) :)PJ

Wow ... it does look like a tribal mask. I love the fine detail. The colors are perfect for the fall season also. Excellent work Lori.

What an unusual and... er... slightly freaky fractal. (Unless you distorted it out of all recognition by post-processing, but that looks unlikely.) Something about it reminds me of a human, a wolf, a bird of prey, an owl... mixture of fur and feathers, skin and whiskers. Creepy - should certainly scare off any evil spirits on Halloween. Too bad it'll send all the good and in-between ones scampering, too.

You've got some wonderful images in your gallery and I only regret not being able to comment on them all (well, all the CG ones, anyway). Great work.

There are very few bare walls in my home because I've got a wide variety of artwork hanging all over the place, of different styles, media, and sources. Outside the door of my basement studio is a collection of nine masks that I have sculpted, and if I had this one of yours in physical form I know it would be there as well (I dropped it into my favorites even before I started commenting). It's gorgeous and it reminds me of Tlingit masks I've seen, from the northwest Pacific coast of Canada. I bet I could download, print, frame, and hang it in the middle of my ring of masks. Yeah, that would look great. Thank you for this one.

Wow - this is something out of and Edgar Allen Poe story - or something like it. Fascinating results.
