The two main and repeated elements in this piece, the "bow tie"-like shape and the spinning fractals, remind me of the big comet in the 1902 silent film, Le voyage dans la lune (A Trip to the Moon) by french director Georges Méliés. As the comet (a physical element - what they considered "special effects" a hundred years ago) is passed over the set, someone yanked a rope on it and set it spinning. This image gives the same feeling without actually moving. It moves in the eye of the viewer - something every college art instructor tries (and usually fails) to get their students to accomplish. Nice work, Lori, and a fun image. (Your "Qui" in the title and my reference to a french film was purely by accident.)
