My second entry for Dylan's Apophysis Contest. No post-work, plugins, or scripts other than the script provided. Thanks for looking! Comments are most welcome. Enjoy your day my friends :) Lori
This is cool. It reminds me of that famous (so famous I don't remember the name or artist - sheesh!) Japanese litho of the single dude on his tiny boat rowing between gigantic waves, with Mt. Fugi in the background. Oh yeah, it was the "The Great Wave at Kanagawa," c.1829, by Katsushika Hokusai (I'm taking back my sheesh!). It also reminds me of when this northern plains guy (me) was 18 and body-surfing in the Pacific for the first time. I didn't jump high enough one time and the top of the wave hit my head instead of my back. All I saw was bubbles and my outstretched hands were hitting sand--I was pin-wheeling. I really like this one and so will my best friend who grew up in California and loves the color blue. Thanks for submitting it, Lori. Great work, as always.
Beautiful Lori. Try as I may me and Apop don't agree with each other. I can't get an image from apop that's clean and sharp:(:(
You on the other hand have mastered it so I'll just enjoy your craftsmanship!!!!
I'm no surfer, but this looks cool to me. The image has a nice visual balance, with the curves and patterns distributed well. The lower right corner seems like it could've been just a bit deeper, darker.. but you said you did no post work on this, so here we are.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
So gorgeous Lori! I really think you've got this contest made in the shade girl. All of your entries are so beautiful! I love the colors in this one! Excellent once again!

I got this in the VB and right away LOVE it! I had to come by and see the title, I thought it would have wave in it, I was close. Great work and I will make it my new desk top.
