Another sphere for your enjoyment. Best viewed in full screen. Comments and critiques are most welcome and encouraged. Thanks for looking my friends! :) Lori
The positioning of that spiral, offset the way it is, gives the sphere the appearance of a wheel, and the short sweeping "brush strokes" coming out from each tiny fractal, creates a definite kinetic feel for me, as though the individual elements of the large spiral were each moving. Other fractals of yours have induced a sensation of movement but not quite like this one. I'm trying to figure out why you chose this title, unless it reminded you of the movie by the same name (great movie btw). A sub-title might be a combination of the words "Kinetic" and "Aesthetic," both strongly applying to the sensation and quality of the whole piece -- maybe "Kinesthetic?" The only enhancements I could imagine would be a little more black void above and below the sphere and if there was a way to produce a diminishing ghost-like effect to the left of the sphere, sort of like a photographic double-exposure, that would even further the feeling of movement. The diminishing would consist of a fainter area on the left, and stronger as your eye got closer to the sphere. Of course the two changes would only work if you were able to do both. Individually they wouldn't work. Does this make any sense? Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing -- it's another stunner, Lori.
Oho man! The first word coming to mind is sublime!Totally amazing what you do, Lori! Totally! Forgive my slowness in commenting lately. I am having trouble keeping up with it. lol
