That looks like some new age art.........you take that to New York and sneak it in a fancy smancy art exibit..........that might put a little bling in your pocket. :) I like the colors to Lori.......good job my dear.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to OZ and the Emerald City. A very nice place to live. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
If Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and John Lennon had collaborated on the design of a mask, back in the 60's, I have a feeling they would have come up with this. It definitely has a 60's feel for me, with the strong contrasts in the colors, the segmented shapes, and the fluidity. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and saw all kinds of graphics, in posters, album covers, magazine ads, and so on, that had this feel. As for my seeing it as a mask, consider Picasso's cubism and look at those two black spots (on the lower left and upper right) that have the spiraling colors coming off them. Couldn't they be pupil holes? Combined with the extended oval shapes attached to them, they look like our eyes. And near the bottom, just right of center, are two dark shapes, one above the other. Couldn't those be interpreted as lips on a mouth? Remember, I'm talking about cubism, and in that world, many things are not where we're used to seeing them. Just one thing -- did you create it soft on purpose? I mean I like it like this but I wonder what it would have looked like a little sharper (just a little). The more I look at this piece the more I like it. Also, concerning the title you've chosen, it definitely fits your composition and, if I was going to come up with a descriptive term for the 60's, "Mind-Bending Journey" would be my first choice. As I've said many times, Lori, you never fail to surprise me, thanks. Saved and faved.
I love it!!! Such a great design with fabulous colors Lori! I think I would have tried putting a little relief in it to see what it'd look like then. I think the details would have been stronger and sharper, but I do love this the way it is as well girl! Outstanding job!

Love it! Kind of reminds me of something I saw at a plastics factory years ago. But there's something serene in the smooth flow of this. All I can say bad is that I would have loved to see it in some neon colors, but that's just me. Overall, this is a really cool design, and I hope you do more in this vein.
