I don't now how you do it Lori... you just keep getting better. Your last one, "Dreaming of Vincent," was directly out of the mind of Vincent Van Gogh. Now, with this one, you've tapped into the cerebellum of M.C. Escher. I am immediately making it a favorite and placing a copy in my desktop pictures file. I'm either looking down through a grate in a transparent crystalline floor, or up into the tower of some fabulous structure floating in the clouds, or I'm seeing the same image through a strictly regimented and multi-dimensional kaleidoscope, with evenly spaced squares instead of prisms. Even the far dark areas appear as a soft white material, adjusted only by your completely believable three-dimensional shadows. It reminds me of the pure white marble that Michelangleo Buonarotti's Pieta is carved from. Tonal variations of black and white is all you have here and yet it is one of the most variegated and detailed pieces I've seen in Caedes. If I was to give it a subtitle it might be "Ascension," as in ascending a tower in heaven from the inside. Fantastic. A 10, no doubt at all.

My wife just came in the room and saw it on my screen and said, "Wow! That takes right to Hal, to '2001: A Space Odyssey'! Wow!" I think she likes it.

I llove the colors in this and it makes a perfect
DT because the left side is cleared for icons. What a great angular design.

Wow ... love the 3D shapes as well as the colors. For some reason I feel as if I'm looking down a spiral staircase or looking up at a domed ceiling. Either way, it's an excellent creation. Nice work Lori.

Somehow this reminds me of looking down a deep stairwell and seeing the flights of stairs and the floor patterns. I like the muted tones of this creation. Verena
