This involved some Photoshop play, of duplicating a fractal, transforming the top layer and applying an Orton's effect to the bottom layer. I'm not too sure about this one. Perhaps you guys can tell me what you think? Best viewed full screen. Comments and critiques are most welcome and appreciated! Thanks for looking my friends :) Lori

This one looks like we are looking down into a very dark pool of water. The bright leaves are below us and the fainter leaves are really reflections in the water of a layer of leaves above us. We are, of course, invisible so we throw no reflection. (It happens to night owl artists - they become fractal vampires.) If you were able to place an expanding circular water ripple between these two layers it would really look like water and reflections. As it is, it's still very cool. I love fall leaves and these are quite nice.

The first rule is: Remove the lens cap! The second rule is: Always take a litter bag in your car - if it gets full, you can just throw it out the window.

Totally beautiful and awesome Lori! The colors are gorgeous and the leaves perfect! Only one problem for me...I'd rather see it upside down. I think the leaves would look better pointing upward. But thats it!...lol...Bravo girl!

I love it. It feels like we are walking underneath a psychedelic tree that is readying itself for the autumn season. Looks very effective. Don't change a thing.

I think your hard work paid off so well. I think this is beautiful and has a foil look to it. Remember the old foil paintings? ♪ ♫ :)sandi♪ =^..^=

Lori, I have to say that this is as good as any photo of fall leaves that I've ever seen. This is just remarkably beautiful and I have to save it. It is going to be a favorite of mine because it is beautiful and because I love fall.

Me too. Very reminiscent of maple leaves. The layering adds an excellent effect of natural depth.

Fantastic. I absolutely love the 'what-orn' effect here, it works perfectly with the texture of the fractal. My only ng would be about the background: I feel that this is one of those times where the stark contrast between the frilliness of the fractal does not work with the absolute solid darkness of black background. Maybe either texturing it or making more smaller, fainter copies of the fractals will work. But I love it as it is still!
