I was playing with layers on this one. Duplicating the fractal twice in order to achieve a 3D look, and then applying a new background with a weave effect and gradient. I have Nikoneer to thank for his wonderful tips on the 3D look! :)

Comments and critiques are most welcome. Best viewed full screen. Thanks for looking my friends! :) Lori

This is such a tranquil site Lori. The color grabbed my eyes instantly as it is my favorite :). The green weaving has a softness to it that draws the viewers right to it. The 'leaves' are a beautiful contrast yet soft and gentle appearing. They almost seem as though they are growing on a trellis!

the 3D effect is lovely and one that I am enjoying thoroughly.

Many thanks for trying it, using my favorite color and especially for sharing this with me! :-)

My new desktop and to my favorites it goes!

Lori - I must admit that I have not developed a strong fondness of fractals. However, this is quite striking. A combination of the 3-D effect, colors and balance make this quite a work of art. Thad

As some of these others have mentioned, there is a pleasing variety to your work and I like this one a lot. All these glowing comments above mine are no surprise, though, you already know what I think of this piece. Thank you for your kind acknowledgement but you're the real artist - I only made a suggestion.

I so love the leaves in this design and the decision to keep everything in one color family. I love leaves of all kinds and these are just so graceful looking. Lots of work went into this one, Lori and it was worth the effort because the result is stunning.

Gosh I just wish I could do even a little bit of this. Maybe once I get unpacked Iwill have time to try eh? This is gorgeous . The colours and the design are just lovely. The weaving in that green is exceptional with the dark green of the leaves. Nice combo my friend. Verena
