Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

So intricate a design, the thumbnail doesn't begin to do it justice. It makes me think of embroidery floss used to create an abstract image. Just womderful!

Much of the beauty in life is found in people who care.
Having hunted these elusive prairie birds in my youth, I can attest to this image indeed looking like their feathers, particularly the darker circular shapes on the left and upper right. This would have been a good entry for the "Lines" contest, Lori. Lines circling, lines overlapping, lines of color, lines of dark and light, lines everywhere. Lots to see, lots to like.
