Absolutely brilliant work, Lori. I particularly love the differing brightness on the gold Japanese characters, looking as if it's all backlit from a small single source.

What I really love about this is the design on the clothes she is wearing and the colour. Also that little fan, that's just gorgeous. The gold and red is just magical. Gosh, Lori, you really have a talent. I am so happy you do these, they are so unique, a true pleasure to look at. Thanx my friend!! Verena

This is quite the change for you and I must say, it looks great! The colour combination works well and I like how the protrait is placed off to one side over the background. I have a feeling you spent a lot of time creating this one and it was worth it!

p.s. Nice touch on the shadowing. Adds a nice delicacy of dimensionality in keeping with the thematic side of ... well, stuff.

The Geisha looks like a gorgeous piece of detailed cloissonne jewelry, what with the very Japanese patterns in her obi and the fan, enhanced by the 3D character of the light reflections you've used. These women would also wear white makeup to give them a certain amount of anonymity but also to show purity. This is a stunner, Lori, an absolute stunner. As a whole I could see it used as a dust cover for a James Clavell novel. Faved for sure!
