I thought I'd try something different with the pen tool and some of my fractals. The idea came to me after being inspired by an online advert. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for looking and your comments/critiques are most appreciated. Lori

I have been busy lately, and as a result, fallen behind in views/comments. I apologize, and do hope to be caught up soon.

Nice work, Lori.

And as usual, you got my mind running here. (That's a good good thing, by the way.)

First and foremost, love the the individual facets and that of layering upon one another. Very subtle on the latter note and it works well.

Being bold here, and I suspect that you spent a goodly amount of time on the background gradient ... and choice of. However, something is not quite falling into place for me on this creative note. And that just may rest with me.

Can't quite put my finger on it, either.

Did have the thought, that perhaps a simple white of sorts might work better?

I am reminded by this piece, however, of the wonderful work you do do with your flames.

Curious what the results would be if you had used a singular flame? And sectioned it as you have done here?

Myriad of creative possibilities, and reiterating once again ... to me, that is one of the highest compliments to have stirred another's imagination. :o)

... ...

Aha, it does pay to stop and take things in some more. It just hit ... the gradation of colourations from left to right. Nice touch. :o)

That drivel of mine aside, very creative on a number of levels. And good good execution.

Thanks for sharing this one with us. This viewer appreciates your work. :o)

Hi Lori
I love it when you try something different. With your skills they always come out great! Great idea for a design with some of your fractals collected into one. I really like the arrangement and the background colours are super! This is really good Lori!

These remind me of those folding screens that can be used to dress behind, some of the Japanese and Chinese have such beautiful ones. I notice you have 'paired' the colours somewhat.
And I'm thinking these are partial panels of your original size fractal creations? I do kind of feel the background is a bit dark. I can't imagine another colour, other then maybe a type of silver look.Silver is neutral and yet complimentary to other colours. I just seem to think with the black frames, the gray BG is a bit too dark. That's just in MHO Lori...just a thought. Other then that I think this creation of yours is brilliant and unique, and that's the things you are good at. Bravo my dear friend! Verena

WOW...Lori, you did it again!

This is super, like the design and I see some familiar pieces in here, a rainbow of fractals, very creative of you, the background is perhaps a tad to dark...in my humble opinion...

Would make a beautiful roomdivider when you put them together...that aside, this is a great piece of work for a wallpaper.

+favs for me.

This is very lovely and I can see you have spent a lot of time creating this. I think it would stand out better against a more pale background perhaps a pale blue or yellow. Or a very soft green.

This is very rare case for me to like fractals so - these are very special and remind me stained glass windows in some old building.

Outstanding, creative and faved. In my honest opinion, the background works fine, It has a slight graduated color tone to it, and it works well for a backdrop. THis might vary with monitor sizes. ♪ ♫ :)Sandi♪ =^..^=

Lori, I have had this image in my favs as well as on my desktop, so now I am commenting!

First of all, I really like the gradient background, I think it does so well to complement the 'feet' of the panels. Also what really caught my eye was how you took the time to 'match' the colors of the panels as you offset them~
Last but not least, is your incredible talent not just with fractals but the imagination you use and the ability to not only try something new, but to be really, really good at it! :o)

Thanks for giving me such an awesome desktop. It puts a smile on my face each time I see it!!

When I was stationed in Japan, in the early 70's, I saw a lot of handmade furniture in the shops there that were crafted of wood with a heavy black lacquer. Some of those pieces were shoji screens that were used as room dividers, and these pieces of yours look almost exactly like them. The space inside the frame would be covered with a variety of materials: woven strips of bamboo, painted rice paper, or silk so fine it was partially transparent. The silk would sometimes be dyed, much like what I'm seeing here, so this brings back memories of shopping in downtown Yokosuka, where you could see another American a block away, even on a busy day (they would be a head above everyone else on the street). :D
