I have no idea what this little fella' is and I tried hard to find out. The best I can up with is that it's some variety of skipper. It's about the size of a dime - maybe a bit smaller and I've always thought they were quite beautiful. I hope you'll agree -

Well I can't do the technical language like Patti but I agree it's a pretty little thing! I thought this was over-exposed before I looked at it full-size, but it's just that the colour on him is so soft and delicate. The pink flowers are exquisite as is the detail on his body. Really lovely.

Definitely a Gray Hairstreak. I am curious as to what part of the country you took the photograph in? They are somewhat common in my area, but I do not recognize the flower. Nice pic!

Terrific focussing on a unique view of one of these guys. Deserves much higher than a 68 but that might be because it's rather small, too small for proper viewing on a large-screen monitor.
