Did pause for a moment.. the colours are decidedly 'cool'.

As this palette does work well with the subject matter. More of a curiosity here than anything else.
(Full disclosure.. I did download and mucked about with your image here in Photoshop to see what a Curves adjustment would do ... warmed things up slightly.)
That said..
Think you upped the photographic challenge for yourself with this one. Challenging lighting and more so, trying to compose a good good image out of the chaos before you.
And.. you succeeded.

Wow, this is an amazing tree! I showed it to a friend of mine and didn't think it was real at first - it has very unique and interesting characters and lines. Beautiful shot and thanks for sharing! :)
