No chances for the dog to make it even with any cat though - because of the leash.
Quite recently I became familiar with the saying that for instance Alsatians keep on counting the cats = counting the length of their lives remaining after face to face encounter.
My own baby is probably worse than any wolf or Alsatian - he gives no chance to the cats - chases them - at a terrible speed - and: either the cat runs to the top of the nearest tree or ..... Have seen one action like that and refused to notice the dog for some days - as a punishment.

A fine looking dog you have. It seems to have picked up the scent of the cat. A nice capture, but would look better if the dog's hind quarters weren't cropped out of the shot. Perhaps adding more contrast would darken the shot to bring out more detail of the dog's fur. Thanks for sharing.

Why not unclip the orange chain and make things easier on the poor hound! >;o) Agreed the white fur is a little blown out in bright sun -- maybe a good time to experiment with HDR...
