I thought that this would work well in B&W .. I was going for the lonely, bleak look. This is near Port Moody/Ioco BC

I think you've achieved that look well. For me, this also has a dreamlike quality. Definately good in black and white.

Life... is like a grapefruit. It's orange and squishy, and has a few pips in it, and some folks have half a one for breakfast.

Very cool capture. The factory in the background in contrast to the river works rather well and give a dramatic eadge to the image. The image may be a little to over contrast though. But a strong 9 on my scale.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

yah .... I like the factory too .. three stacks with no smoke was interesting. I think for this crop the focal point is not quite right but I cant decide. THe original aspect ratio has more to the left with the pier coming in almost from the corner. It seemed to balance a little better bnut I wanted to keep the factory.

i love it. the contrast is great and the rather unsuitabale factory is a great eyecatcher! very well done.
