The angle of the sun this late in the year give great shadows on our wall. But when trying to capture it the context of the room is lost ... making the pictures quite uninteresting. This particular crop helps to bring in a point of interest with out losing the abstact shading .. I think. Comments welcome.

The overall effefct is, well, kind of Japanese. There's a sort of a clean, stark feeling about this, yet the starkness is relieved by the softness of the shadows and the round, ornamented bowl. It's very pleasing, makes an unusual autumn desktop.

Very interesting. It makes you stop and look at all the different shading. The clarity is very good too.

The shot itself is wonderful and artistic...but I am drawn more to thinking...wow...what nice taste and style in decor! :)
