There was a re-enactment group at our local park. I found this head gear display fascinating (probably 'cause I had just gone through some of my old Robert E. Howard books). They have a pretty shallow DOF but look nice and burnished!

Wouldn't this make a great basis for a poster for their reenactments? There's enough negative space here for wording and other information.

It's a very nice photograph.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

strong lighting, makes a good contrast. I like how the color goes from cool to warmer on the bottom.

very nice. i like the lighting on the helmet a lot. and i like that you allowed space for some background information. i do wish (i know you mentioned it in the info..but...) that there was just a bit more dof to have that entire front helmet in focus. still a very strong capture though, great work!

I like the focus on the helmet in contrast to the background. The light also reflects very well off the metal giving it a lot of detail. Great shot!

I do like the composition here: this helmet rocks! I like the precision of the photo too: the crispy foreground and the burred background. Thanks for sharing.
