I tried something different here. I desaturated the picture and did some cropping. Just a tad of sharpening and did the framing. I'm curious what you think of this one. Trying something new! Sandi♥

It depends fully on taste Sandi. Agree to a certain extend with the above comments. Like to give you however my honest opinion. To me, as the colours of their bills has almost gone, and in spite of the other improvements, the image has become somewhat less natural. Very good work anyhow.

I am somewhat in agreement with Cornelius. I think your series of these birds has been outstanding and have told you that in other comments. When working with snow, ice, and white swans, you do not have a lot of colors available. But your other pictures were excellent for they drew out the color that was there. The blues of the ice especially come to mind. You have a fine picture here, but to my eyes and for my taste, I liked the others better for the colors they possessed.
I love the photo and of course its fav'd, but I prefer a smaller framing. I like to see more photo!..lol..I don't have icons directly on my desktop ( they're on the taskbar to click), so my whole screen is empty for just beauty. Just my ideas.

Such a lovely pair they are too, Sandi. How delightful to even have them around. I thought they were fair weather birds around here. I like your horizontal cropping and the desaturation makes this look even colder. Nicely done.
