The last two remaining young ducks that hang out at the pond by a housing addition just down the road from me. You can see an earlier shot of them Here This is also home to Dapper Duck who is one of the adults. The family that lives in the house close to the pond has been enjoying them so much and to their dismay there are only two left out of the orginal nine. We think perhaps a large snapping turtle might also share this pond. We all hope that these two will at least make it. All wild animals are so prone to predators and are lucky to make it to adulthood. I did do a little cloning on that blade of grass in front of the one cuties face. I decided to leave most of it in the pic. Used the sigma zoom once again. sandi♥

Awww, they look like they're in love lol. What a wonderful capture this is Sandi. It just reeks of sweetness lol. I too hope they make it and you're so right about wild animals having a tough time surviving until they're able to make it on their own. Hope they do. Looking forward to seeing more photos of them in the future. Thanks for sharing my friend.

I love the composition here-one sitting in the water, one standing. White ducks are difficult to get the exposure right without blowing highlights. You did well. Keeper.

White ducks, & strong sunlight make for a tough assignment Sandi
Lovely portrait of this sweet pair, it's a shame mortality rates are so high in nature, I too want them to survive !!

Us against the predators they seem to be saying. Nice action shot of them plotting their revenge. Great clarity and that new lens sure fits your eye. Good post Tigz.

I think this is terrific Sandi. The way the two ducks are standing together, the curves of their necks and bodies, the shadows the one standing is casting across the other, the detail of the plumage, bright orange of the legs and beaks....Really great shot and compellingly straightforward.
