A Monarch Butterfly at the Calendar Gardens. The flowers are not so well focused but was very pleased with the focus on the actual subject. Used the sigma 70-300 APO DG macro zoom with a tripod. Have a wonderful day!

Who cares about the flower?..lol..Your capture of this monarch is gorgeous Sandi! Actually the color of the flower contrasts it and it looks great girl!

Wow, Sandi! Such a beautiful capture! The colors, the clarity and the lighting are all top notch! I love that lens of yours! I haven't seen any Monarchs this year at all and that makes me a little sad. This one is just super.
Wow! Look at that photo and look at that score. Way to go Tigz. It is well deserved. The photo is so well composed and edited perfectly. Proud to know you.
I thought I had commented on this one, but I did get it in the voting booth and I'm proud to say I'm part of that well-deserved score. I came out to see whose it was and got a bit excited in the downloading process!!
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
Honestly you are so good with these butterflies! All that detail and gorgeous colour. I think it would have been nicer with the flowers in focus too - I guess you know you might have been able to do that by setting a narrower aperture - but it's still a really great picture. You have a natural affinity for these things that's for sure.
