Another shot of a Sparrow at the feeder after the ice storm we had here.

This was taken with the Canon 450D and Canon ef 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens. I did crop this one a little.

The bird seems to be resting comfortably, even with all that ice around. I'm glad it's not hanging from its feathers, too. Excellent composition, Sandi. I like the colors of the shot too.

As a boy they were extremely common in our towns, & cities but now their a rare sight ! They used to nest outside my window at my London parents home in the guttering. Their chirping / bickering was a familiar sound. :o)
Don't forget to supply water not ice ! in days of old we used a candle to stop water from freezing .. Thanx 4 sharing

If you have a garden please feed the birds this winter, & supply drinking water not ice, it's so important. . . . Help dwindling bird numbers survive.

A nice frozen bird shot Sandi, I guess the birds up there are getting used to frozen dinners. I think it would be great if you put a heated bird house next to that feeder. Well done
