Yesterday the clouds gave way to sunshine, so I tried to use that to my advantage. This beauty seemed to take my presence in stride.

Started to get sleepy and not bothered by me at all.

The canon ef70-300mm IS USM lens used. Camera setting was on P mode with shutter speed at 1/125, WB sunny. I did just a tad of contrast in my postwork.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Difficult conditions to tame - as the body is very white, loosing feather detail towards the bottom of the neck.

Still, I like how the light is picked up by the ripples on the water, similar to the glow on the neck and the head. Thumbs-up from me.

I didn't know you'd recently visited The New Brighton Model Boating Lake Sandi! A very beautiful swan indeed photographed at just the right angle to get the best of the sun.

The above funny comment of Steve about his New Brighton Model Boating Lake made me smile. Please hurry Steve to see if 'your' swans didn't have crossed the pond, lol.
Great capture Sandi of Mrs. (?) Elegance.

It does look like one of Caruso's swans Tigz. Great job. What was the ISO? You don't need a lot of complimentary words from me. I will let the swan do my talking. Outstanding.

I sure does look sleepy. It's eyes are barely open, the one that is visible, anyway.. Excellent shot, Sandi. I like the sun shining on it. Very nice picture.
