The Bumble Bee seemed to be enjoying himself as well as I did shooting this lovely. I had not seen this variety before.
The Elkhart Dahlia Society takes care of these gardens. I talked to two judges that were checking the trial gardens over and evaluating each flower.
Tabulation is made at different trial gardens and at the end of the season the scores are figured out and some will receive awards.
This one caught my attention.
Used the canon IS USM lens, some with tripod (this is one) and some without.

Beautiful dahlia photo,the colors are really nice,it is lovely with the bumble bee,very good lighting and clarity as well,Sandi.I am not sure if i have ever seen this variety before.

A true beauty, Sandi! I don't think I have seen this variety either. The clarity and details are superb! I love the colours in this bloom... it reminds me of a fresh peach :) And the bee makes this capture all the more beautiful! Very well done! Faved+
