A Nuthatch enjoying some goodies this morning.

Using my mom's rewards miles on her credit card I know have added the Nikon D3000 to my equipment. It came with the 18-55 VR kit lens, and also the 55-200 VR Nikkor zoom lens.

I actually ordered the Nikon D60 but got this one instead, which is fine by me. :) I think the 3000 is a newer updated version of the D60.

I do have alot of learning to do with this camera, but I think this is a decent shot and so far the best I have managed to get with the new camera and lens.

Equip. Nikon D3000 with the 55-200 Nikkor VR lens, setting was on RAW, WB sunlight with an ISO of 200.

I did crop this image some.

Any helpful suggestions with this camera by Nikon users would be most appreciated, and others as well.

Thank you in advance for your comments, and advice.

I have been told that I just might like the Nikon over the Canon once I get used to it. I plan on using both cameras but do need to get some practice in with the new toy. Most captures have not been all that good yet. Buy hey I'm getting to know this new toy. :)

I think you could use an old Polaroid and get great results Tigz. I will be anxious to see which camera you prefer when all is said and done. You are off to a flying start.
