A rework of this one

I have not done Black & White in along time and thought I would give it a go.

Thanks for your comments. I would like to know what you think?

Oh, its alright in B&W but I really prefer the first posting Sandi. This seems pretty dark to me. But its still a beautiful scene!

I agree with Joanie on this one I prefer the color one - this seems particularly dark on the left side- perhaps the inner white mat there would also set that off - just my view.

I like the opposing gradient lighting and black/white coloring. The b&w bestows a reality into the shot of the cold and possible harshness of winter. If you had wanted gala, you would have left it in color. Well done Sandi.

Hello Sandi....This picture evokes the bleak beauty of this winter landscape and you have captured its atmospheric qualities through the use of black and white....Well done....All the best to you Sandi........................Mick.

The darkness on the right gives it that mysterious look. Great shot Sandi and the B/W was a good idea, looking at the result. Very nice job.

I like how you have focused on the fog in the distance and also the dramtic mood the lighting creates. I like this one the best. Very nice work!

Dark & foreboding ... maybe a bit too dark in the sky & snow, so I might have made some adjustments to the brightness & contrast to bring out the trees more. I do like the composition ... it's spot on. Nice work Sandi.

The tonalities are excellent, Sandi! And, although I do like b&w, I think I prefer the colour version of this shot a tad more. I think that if the lighting on your frame had come from the opposite direction, it would help to brighten up the darker side... in my honest opinion.
