I deleted my first posting tonight, as it had such a good c index on it already, it is probably best to leave that one alone.

I took this image and applied some different editing, and do want to know what your thoughts are.

Thanks for taking the time, I do appreciate it.

I agree with Richie Tigz the heavy green hues add a real dreamy affect.

I like the shadows in this version. I think the water and reflections are also deeper and richer. Both pictures have that "WOW" factor, Sandi.

That is some great looking dream effect, Sandi. The first one is pretty darn good though, too.

It is really lovely,Sandi, the place is really lovely but there is too much saturation, the reflections are pleasant.

Sorry Sandi I find that the colour in this image has been pushed too far. The colour in the original is far more realistic. It's a beautiful scene but better in the first image.

Apples and oranges Tigz. Some prefer one, some the other. Some even like both. That is the case with me. It is good to experiment and learn. That is how you create your own style.
Good post.

Sandi...

What exactly is a "Relfections"? LOL

I like this version much better, but I also agree with TicK. There are some folks on Caedes that have a distinct style. I'm not one that has a style unless lack of detail and focus on a shot are my trademarks. If you don't mind my asking, exactly what did you do to change the original? They're both wonderful.

They're both nice but I prefer this first. This is a bit more dreamy with the Orton look.Nice piece whatever you did with it!!

This has more of a "dreamy look" but frankly I prefer the other one Sandi.

Sandi - I like the dreamy look of this shot. I know that the dreamy comment is repeated above, but it was the first impression of the photo. The saturated colors along with the soft edges make it a wonderful photo. Thad

Not having the benefit of seeing the original to compare it to, I shall declare this version to be fit and fair. I too like the dream-like quality in the lighting and colours. Great work!!

The soft look, and enhanced color and contrast, in this version of the image create a fascinating, dream-like look to the scene. Because there is so much greenery, the saturation might be a bit overpowering at first glance, but depending on the image, I like this effect.
