Captured this Red Belly Woodpecker in the lilac bush by the feeders today.

I used zippy witht the converter, and set the ISO at 400.The image was cropped quite a bit, to get rid of some things I did not like. The clouds gave way to a sunny afternoon.

After some critical pointers (but well meant) from Les, I decided to remove "Autumn Creek".

I do appreciate your honest comments, and thank you in advance for taking the time.

This is bright and beautiful, Sandi. Your red belly doesn't have red on it either. Someone misnamed these things. LOL.

A beautiful picture of the bird, but I think that the feathers on the back of the head is without textures.Great work Sandi.

The bird is very beautiful and well focused. I agree with Christer about the back of the head beaing washed out, but it is still a very good capture.
