This is a really good shot, Tigs. It can have more impact though.
A minor change in Contrast and Gamma (exposure) will give more separation to the tones, and Noise Reduction will smooth the image without affecting detail and sharpness.
You should also check your original image file at a very large size. There seems to be black spots in a number of places.
It could be dust on your lens or sensor, or even birds though I can't distinguish any bird shapes
