Played around a bit with this one. Hope you like it, took this one at a local lake. I was trying to get the filtered sun and the clouds to show up more. Hope you like it, and thank you for commenting.
It's a nice moody shot, Sandi. If you wanted the sun a bit brighter, just click on the CIRCLE in the group of Selections on the right border of PhotoFiltre Studio. Then, with your pointer, draw a centerline across the sun, dragging it down a bit as you near the far side. Then drag the separated dotted lines to form the outline around your sun. Next, click on + Gamma as many times as necessary for the brightness you want, and click outside the dotted lines to close that selection. I forgot to mention...roll your mouse wheel to enlarge the image before you add the circle selection ,for greater accuracy.
You have got the wintry look all right Sandi. I also like te low angle from which you have taken this. The sky does show the sun struggling to get through the thick low mist.
Now this is winter ... B & W works perfectly for this moody scene. Love the subtle lighting produced by the sun. Contrasts look great also. Excellent capture Sandi.
What caught my interest in this photo is the intriguing sense of flatness it conveys. It does it exquisitely well too. That may seem like an unusual type of commendation but it really is the aspect of this photo that enchants me. Great shot!
