That's a beautiful flutterby and foofy shot, Sandi. Makes me wanna get out with the camera again, but I can't seem to locate any butterflies right now. LOL>
The clarity on the b'fly is wonderful - a shame to keep this in hiding so long! I apologize for not commenting on other recent posts but the mad social whirl of the holidays has had me spinning!
A beautiful composition and great colors against that background. It is somewhat over-saturated, to a point where the oranges of the Monarch are taking on the reds of the flowers. Also some of the more delicate detail has been covered over by the saturation, both on the body of the butterfly, and the flower petals.
The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
The composition is beautiful, but have to agree with Doug on the over-saturation part. I do like the shadow below the butterfly / flower too. Well done Sandi.
Crackin' work my friend ..
