Took this one, this morning as the sun was just starting to shine.
Used the canon 450D, the canon 70-200mm f/4L zoom lens with the kenko 1.4 DGX converter set against the glass of a closed window.
I guess I like staying warm while shooting the bird's at the feeder. :)

Beautiful. That background color is so nice, you might try scrunching down a few inches to have that colored area supply the background for the entire bird and feeder.
The colors are soft and the lens provides excellent out of focus image for the background at that distance.

This is really lovely Sandi. The colours are so beautiful and the details of the bird are very good. I also like the blurred orange background very much, itīs a perfect color contrast and sets the bird in focus. Excellent work!

What a great close up! It's a beauty. I was staying at a timeshare this last week in the Smokey Mts and put sunflowers seeds on the patio and watched Cardinals, Blue Jays and tiny sparrows enjoy them close up, but never close up like this beautiful photo of yours Sandi. A+++ in my book! You are the best of the best!
