This Blue Jay seems undecided which seed to go for. Probably hoping he can find one that is not frozen. :)
We go out and clear off the snow for them, and make sure there is plenty to choose from. I must say between feeding the birds, and my two labs, and 6 cats, well you know that brings the weekly grocery bill up some. Lol! But the rewards of watching the birdies of all sorts, and being able to get some captures with the camera, are most rewarding for me.

You have great detail in the bird against the soft contrasting background. The color is fabulous but probably a tinch too blue - the snow is picking up the blue. It would be practically perfect if you'd been able to frame in such a way as to capture the eye at one of the third points - probably upper left in this case to eliminate the excess distractive bg. Otherwise a wonderful shot. anne =D
